Past Events - "Sundown Cinema - A
unique, outdoor movie experience"
Thanks
to everyones support and ecouragement, Sundown Cinema
has been continued throughout the summer, every Friday.
What began as a one time event has grown into a popular
community night out.

Previously
we have shown: Casablanca, The Birds, and Sabrina.
Sundown Cinema Background
Few art forms have captivated and inspired so
many people as the cinema. Recognizing the slow decay of
classical cinema popularity, our organization decided it
was time for the city of Campbell to see “The Classics”. Casa de la Cultura Mexica sponsored in part by The
Downtown Campbell Business Association, The Safeway Cares program and
Mr. Xavier Sanchez is proud to present “Sundown Cinema”.
Presented
in the parking lot of “The Kensington Art Center” and “Orchard Valley
Coffee Roasting Co.” in downtown Campbell, we will present classic
films on a widescreen digital projector. Prior to the
main features screening we will show 2 short films directed
by local filmmakers - Travis Gregory and Bernie Su. This
unique twist is what sets this event apart from the rest.
The debut
of “Sundown Cinema” will hopefully be the first of many FREE-to-the-public,
outdoor, classical film showings our organization hopes to put on
within the city of Campbell. Our goal is to not only make the public
as excited as we are about “Sundown Cinema” but to promote local
businesses in the process. Coffee, food, beverages and unique goods
from local merchants are just a short walk away.
